The Blood Type diet was created by Dr. Peter J. D'Adamo. The diet is based on the idea that each of the four main blood types will react differently to different food groups. The reason for this is because each of the different blood types evolved differently and therefore need different nutrition. Despite claims, there is no scientific evidence to support this diet.

Blood type A developed as humans domesticated animals and so, grains are said to be an important staple of their diet. Blood type O is the hunter and requires meat in its diet. Blood type B means it is best to consume dairy products.
