Taste:

I used sample packets (one serving packets) of the chocolate, mochachino and vanilla flavours, each of which I mixed in 1 cup of 1% milk. My taste review of each is as follows:

Chocolate: Distinct milky chocolate. Great choice for those who appreciate a milky chocolate taste. This is the good taste I have come accustom to and expect from the BSN line of supplements. Would purchase again.

Mochachino: If you like Tim's Iced Caps, you will love this flavour. Personally, I don't even like Iced Caps. However, I still enjoyed the taste of this flavour, despite how much I dislike Iced Caps.

Vanilla: Delicious creamy vanilla taste. Great choice for those who appreciate a creamy vanilla taste. Would purchase again

As you can see, I thoroughly enjoyed each flavour and wish I had more to sample! Flavour wise Syntha-6 receives a score of 9.5/10. This is near the highest rating I will give because no matter how good something is, there is always room for improvement.

Mixability/Texture:

Although I blended Syntha-6, rather than using a shaker, I only did so for a matter of seconds at it was ready to go. However, most protein mixes I've tried take longer than this. Therefore, it receives a score of 8/10.

Effectiveness:

As with any protein supplement review, it is difficult to evaluate the overall effectiveness of the product. The reason being, unlike creatine and pre-workout amplifiers there is no significant effect. The purpose of protein is to either get extra calories in your diet or to be used as a meal-replacement on the go. Also, protein supplementation may be used in place of an unhealthy meal, which would be detrimental to an individual seeking an improved physique. Since I began working out, protein shakes have been a part of my daily diet. The convenience of a protein shake is too good to not take advantage of.

Overall Review:

Syntha-6 cannot be beaten in taste to date. Also, it has a high protein content per scoop. However, Syntha-6 has its negatives. Syntha-6 is an expensive choice of protein. Also, as good as Syntha-6 tastes, I find it has a high fat content for a protein powder. Therefore, it may not be the best choice for the individual attempting to avoid fat. That being said, in the correct moderation, fat can be a healthy part of a diet. However, I would not recommend taking this as a late night snack. In light of all that, it receives an overall score of 8/10.
