Dear Mr. Canning,

I'm deeply concerned to hear about Mr. Jalali's unfortunate health crisis, as I am his avid fan. He's a great inspiration to so many of us, both as an athlete, artist and a rare, remarkable person. If there's any way you can extend my supportive and encouraging thoughts and prayers to Chris and his loving family at this time, I'd be most grateful. I'm relieved to hear that he's out of the hospital, if my facts are correct- and I'd just like Chris to know that he's got countless friends and admirers pulling for him. We want him back stronger and more healthy than ever, but only in the sensible time it will take for his body to completely recover. Patience, courage and determination are going to be required from this young man, and those are not easy virtues, at any age. But he has already demonstrated those qualities, and countless others in abundance in his burgeoning career, and I know Chris is exceptional in every way...he will learn from this frightening challenge, and be all the better for it, God willing.
