Designer Whey Protein Powder
Designer Whey Protein by NEXT Nutrition is up there as one of the most popular protein supplements available today. It is enjoyed by many, due to both its effectiveness and taste. Designer Whey Protein comes in three flavours - chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. My personal favourite is chocolate, and it is quite tasty. I prefer the taste of Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Protein over Designer Whey, but they are pretty close. Both are better than average and go down easy.
It shares another quality with other good protein powders too - it does not get as clumpy when you mix it. If you mix it with milk or water in a glass, you can stir it with a spoon, and normally it comes out just fine, so a blender isn't required. With a lot of protein powders, a blender is needed or else you will be eating your shake!

Active Peptide Transport is supposed to open alternative digestive pathways in your body and allow for the digestion of protein to run more smoothly. There are three different types of protein transport systems which are used for muscle development:
1. In the first system, free form amino acids are used. The amino acids compete against each other for absorption which makes it less efficient than what is ideal.
2. The second system uses peptide chains of 2-3 linked amino acids, and these are absorbed through transcellular pathways.
3. The last system uses larger peptides, consisting of more amino acids linked in the chain. This sytem is unique to whey protein.
Designer Whey is a unique protein powder's, whose developers claim to have developed a formula with specific amounts of the key ingredients which paracellular pathway to open, which results in a better rate of absorption of the protein powder into your muscles. This type of efficiency is obviously something which all athletes can appreciate because it gives us more bang for out buck. Efficiency is something we should all strive to find in a protein powder, and Designer Whey Protein offers that. Of course the conclusion for better efficiency in rates of protein absorption are obvious - extra gains in size and strength! That is what every aspiring bodybuilder or recreational muscle building athlete wants to see! The main benefif of this protein powder is it's Active peptide transport system previously described.
So it's a good supplement, very tasty, inexpensive, and ultra efficient! What more could you ask for in a protein powder?
