Ingredients:
Whey protein blend (micro/ultra filtered whey concentrate, whey isolate, whey peptides), natural and artificial flavors, guar gum, natural soy bean oil, acesulfame potassium.

Directions: Add one level scoop to 6 ounces of water, milk or juice. Stir, shake or blend for 20 secondsd or until completely dispersed, then enjoy! For maximum results, take 1 scoop before and 1 scoop after workouts.

Higher Power 100% Whey Power Review By Matt Canning

In the spirit of trying as many different brand names and flavours of protein powder that I can get my hands on, I decided to give Higher Power's 100% Whey Power a chance. After reviewing the nutritional information, I realized that it generally had what I was looking for, and the price was very cheap - this being mainly due to lack of huge campaigns to promote its sale online or off. It is also sold directly from the supplier to the consumer without any additional steps so that also keeps the cost down. Berry, chocolate, and vanilla flavours were all available and I decided to give berry a shot.

Taste:

I loved the taste! One note is that I did not consume Higher Power's 100% Whey Power in the conventional manner of consuming protein shakes which would be taken plainly mixed with either milk or water. What I did was blended the protein powder together with milk, juice, frozen fruits, and yogurt to make one delicious shake. It worked out well and gave an extra boost of protein in an already delicious smoothy, turning a delicious treat into a small bodybuilding meal.

Mixability/Texture:

As I mentioned above, I took Higher Power 100% Whey Power in the following manner - I used the ingredients listed below to make a protein shake in a blender:

Protein powder (varying quantities depending on size of shake desired).
Milk (skim, 1%, or 2% depending on your preference. My preference is skim).
Fruit juice (flavour of your choice).
Mixed fruits (purchased frozen at the grocery store).
Yogurt.

I loved this shake recipe and it made the shakes exactly as I expected them. It tasted somewhat grainy, but that is to be expected of any protein blends.

Digestibility:

I had no problem whatsoever digesting Higher Power 100% Whey Power. Something to note is that I never have problems with digestion either for protein shakes or in general, so I can't speak for everyone - others may have problems digesting this specific brand of protein or protein supplements in general, but it has never been an issue with me.

Effectiveness

As always, I need to note that protein supplements are meant as a convenient supplement for whole food and are not intended to elicit an anabolic effect like creatine or NO products. Higher Power 100% Whey Power delivers nutritional value which is exactly what I expect in a good protein product.

Overall Review:

Simply put, Higher Power 100% Whey Power is good tasting as well as being nutritious and inexpensive - five pounds only costs $29.99, which is an excellent price for a product of this type! Highly recommended for those seeking a protein supplement but are on a budget and can do with a brand name which does not cost more due to high end marketing. This is another A+ supplement in my book, and rest assured, if I didn't feel that way, I would have no problems telling you!
