Description


Purpose:

(1) To develop the chest.

Exercise Data:

Main Muscle Worked: Chest

Other Muscles Worked: Triceps, Shoulders

Equipment: Dumbbell

Mechanics Type: Compound

Instructions:

(1) Sit on the incline bench with a dumbbell in each hand.

(2) Begin the exercise with your arms over your chest and dumbbells in hand.

(3) Maintain a slight bend in your elbows and keep your torso stationary on the bench.

(4) Lower the dumbbells to your side in an arc-motion much like you are hugging a bear.

(5) At the end of the range of motion, your elbows should be on a horizontal plan even with the bench.

(6) Bring the dumbbells back up throughout the same range of motion.

(7) Repeat.

Tips:

(1) The slight bend in your elbows should remain the same throughout the entire range of motion.
