Bodybuilder Paul Demayo "Quadzilla": R.I.P

Paul Demayo: September 12, 1967 - June 2, 2005

It is with great sadness that I announce another passing in the world of bodybuilding with the death of professional bodybuilder Paul Demayo. Paul Demayo, also known as "Quadzilla" was known for his freaky triceps and quads, as they were both among the best in the history of bodybuilding.

Another sad day for the Bodybuilding world.

"I got a very disturbing news tonight from a very reliable source in Boston, Mass that NPC National Champ Paul DeMayo died of an drug overdose, at this point the details are limited but it seems that this is a real and unfortunate news. Paul was nicknamed Quadzilla and was known for his extreme leg development. Paul was only 37 years old.
RIP Paul.

Just got a confirmation on this as well. It's totally true & also very sad.

Apparently in the last few days Paul was calling up old friends in the sport to ask if they could loan him some money. Most didn't just because they knew the problems he was having. He wass telling those he called that he was working at the Gold's Gym in Boston but the people at Gold's said he was let go a few months ago according to a couple of people who tried to call him back there. You gotta wonder how bad his last few days were? It is very tragic indeed.

Ironically this photo of Paul is mine as well & one of my favorites of his.
